Depending on your departure point, whether it's Brussels, Düsseldorf, or Amsterdam, you'll take a direct flight of about 3 hours to Kittilä Airport, in the heart of Finnish Lapland.

Upon arrival and after collecting your baggage, you'll be greeted by our guides. You'll easily recognize them by a sign that says "Lapland Travel" or by their jackets with our logo. They will then escort you to the transfer.

Once the whole group is together, you'll head towards Levi. The ride takes about 20 minutes, during which your guide will introduce themselves and answer any initial questions.

Before heading to your accommodation, we'll make a stop at our local partner. Those who have rented thermal clothing can pick up their gear here. This clothing is specially designed to comfortably withstand the Arctic climate.

Your luggage will stay with us in the meantime. The guide will let you know when you can check into your accommodation. Please keep in mind that this may take a little time, depending on the arrival time.

When everything is ready, you'll be dropped off at your accommodation. All you have to do is settle in, relax, and enjoy the peace and nature of Lapland.

On the day of arrival, no activities are planned. So you have plenty of time to arrive at your own pace, explore the surroundings, or do some shopping if needed.

Morning:

After your first night in Lapland, the day begins slowly. The morning is free. It's the perfect time to explore your surroundings, take a walk around your accommodation, unpack your bags, or simply enjoy the serene silence of the Lapland nature.

It’s a great opportunity to immerse yourself in the beautiful nature of Lapland for the first time. You'll discover various marked trails showcasing the typical landscapes of the region.

Afternoon:

This afternoon, your first activity is scheduled: the snowmobile tour.

Your guide will pick you up at your accommodation or at a designated meeting point and take you to our local partner. There, you'll receive your helmet and a brief overview of the safety rules and basic operation of the snowmobile.

You will be paired up on a snowmobile, and then you'll embark on a journey of about 2 hours through the snowy landscape of Lapland. Halfway through, you’ll have the chance to switch places if you like, going from driver to passenger.

The activity wraps up with a cozy break with a warm berry drink, after which you'll return to your accommodation by the end of the afternoon.

Evening:

In the evening, you can choose to dine at a restaurant in Levi center, or simply enjoy a cozy meal at your accommodation.

It's also the perfect time to experience one of the most beautiful traditions of Finland: the Finnish sauna. There's nothing better for relaxing after a day outdoors and warming up your body nicely.

Morning:

After a night where (hopefully) the Northern Lights made an appearance, you can enjoy a free morning to rest and recover. Today's activities start later, giving you a chance to catch your breath… before diving into the traditional Sámi world.

You can also explore the village of Levi: stroll through the local shops, discover the surrounding trails, or treat yourself to a well-deserved moment of relaxation in the sauna at your accommodation.

Afternoon:

Around noon, your guide will pick you up for a trip to the reindeer farm – an iconic place within the local culture.

There, you'll meet the local guides and your reindeer, each with its own name. Take a seat in the sled for a peaceful ride through the snowy landscape.

Back at the farm, you'll be welcomed into a heated Kota where you can enjoy warm berry juice. The local guides will share stories about their daily lives, their unique bond with the animals, and the age-old traditions associated with the reindeer farm.

An authentic and warm immersion into Sámi culture.

Evening:

As night falls, your guide will pick you up for a Northern Lights experience. Depending on the weather conditions, the departure time may be slightly adjusted.

You’ll drive and walk to a remote location, far away from any light pollution. There, as the sky prepares itself, a campfire will be lit. Around the fire, with grilled sausages and marshmallows, your guide will share the mysterious legends surrounding this phenomenon and explain how to observe the Northern Lights during your stay.

And suddenly… there they are! The auroras appear, dancing above your head and enveloping the sky in a green glow.

A memory that, hopefully, will remain etched in your mind… and on your retina.

This morning, you have an absolute classic of your stay on the agenda: a snowshoe hike, included in the basic package, so off to the snowy forest!

Depending on the group's pace, you'll cover between 4 and 8 km, passing frozen rivers, quiet lakes, and panoramic viewpoints.

Along the way, your Dutch-speaking guide will share the secrets of Lapland's nature with you, from the wildlife to the ancient trees. And of course, this beautiful trek will be interrupted by a cozy break with warm berry juice.

Once back at your accommodation, you'll have time to grab lunch, relax a bit... or why not enjoy your sauna?

Afternoon:

Feeling the need for speed and adrenaline on the ice? This afternoon is all about speed and fun. Ice karting in Levi is a unique experience that combines the thrill of racing with the excitement of driving on ice.

After a brief explanation and getting your gear, you'll take your seat in a specially modified kart with studded tires. Ready? Set? Go! You'll race for two sessions of 15 minutes on an ice circuit, featuring sharp turns and a healthy dose of competition. In between, there’s a break with warm berry juice to warm up.

Not in the mood for adrenaline? Then this is the perfect time to explore Levi and its charming center, or hit the ski slopes for the afternoon.

Evening:

Tonight, you’ll experience an extraordinary moment in the heart of the Lapland forest. You'll spend the night in a glass igloo, about a 15-minute drive from Levi.

From your cozy bed, you can admire the starry sky... and maybe, with a bit of luck, witness the magical dance of the Northern Lights, comfortably and warmly from the front row.

The glass cabin features a double bed, a small seating area, and a private bathroom with a shower and toilet. On-site, you’ll enjoy a lavish buffet dinner at the restaurant, carefully prepared and packed with local flavors. There’s also a delicious breakfast buffet waiting for you in the morning.

Morning:

Time for a unique way to explore the winter landscape: on an electric bike. These special snow bikes with extra-wide tires give you grip and stability, even on thick snow.

Alongside your local guide, you'll cycle through the enchanting scenery around Levi, cutting through snow-covered forests and past frozen marshes. The silence of nature is only interrupted by the crunching of tires in the snow: a soothing yet active experience.

Halfway through, you'll stop at a clearing or a cozy café, where you can enjoy a small snack and a warm drink. In the meantime, your guide will share insights about the surroundings and life in Lapland.

Accessible for everyone with a basic level of fitness – and most importantly, a lot of fun.

Evening:

At the end of the day, a special and magical experience awaits you: a visit to the ice hotel.

Completely carved out of snow and ice, this unique place reveals its rooms, bar, and restaurant – all adorned with beautiful, endless artworks. Your guide will provide the necessary explanations, after which you are free to explore this icy masterpiece at your own pace.

A warm drink in the ice bar wraps up the visit.

Morning:

Your guide will take you to the location where you'll meet a pack of huskies, ready to take you on a 10 km journey through the forest. You'll receive instructions on steering and braking, and set off in pairs on the sled, with the option to switch places halfway through.

At the end of the ride, a cozy moment awaits with the dogs. You'll have time to pet them, take photos, and especially chat with the musher – their handler.

It's the perfect opportunity to ask all your questions and learn more about this fascinating profession and the unique bond between the dogs and their guide.

Afternoon:

This afternoon, you set the pace. Feeling adventurous? The ski slopes of Levi are highly recommended. With over 40 km of well-maintained slopes, Levi is the largest ski area in Finland – perfect for both beginners and experienced skiers. A day pass (€66) gives you access to all the lifts and breathtaking views from the top.

Prefer something different? Stroll through the charming center of Levi or take the gondola to the viewpoint at the top of the hill: ideal for a photo or just to take a moment to appreciate the panorama.

If you want to stay warm, you can relax in one of the wellness centers or simply enjoy the sauna at your accommodation.

Evening:

In the evening, you'll experience something extraordinary: ice floating. In a special thermal suit, you'll gently lower yourself into a hole in the ice, right in the middle of a frozen lake near Levi. No worries – you'll stay dry and warm while effortlessly floating in the icy water.

Let yourself be carried away by the silence, under a sky full of stars – or with a bit of luck, even the Northern Lights. It's a magical experience that's both relaxing and surprisingly soothing. It feels like the world stops for a moment.

Morning:

Experience the tranquility of Finnish nature during a traditional ice fishing session – a beloved weekend activity among locals, also known as pilkki. With a hand auger, rod, and some bait, you'll head out to a remote, frozen lake in the region around Levi, far from the crowds.

After drilling your own hole in the ice, you’ll settle down on a reindeer skin, rod in hand. The silence around you is blissful – just the cracking of the ice and the gentle rustling of the wind through the trees.

Whether you catch anything or not, you’ll warm up by the campfire with a steaming cup of berry juice and a sweet Finnish bun afterwards.

Afternoon:

Forest skiing is a unique experience where you glide through the quiet, snow-covered taiga on special “sliding snowshoes.” It combines the best of cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, allowing you to move smoothly and steadily through the winter landscape.

It’s the perfect activity to fully immerse yourself in the silence of nature while staying active.

In the evening, it’s time to say goodbye to Levi. Take a little time to relax at your accommodation or head into the cozy town center. In our app, you’ll find a selection of nice restaurants and cozy bars to wrap up your last evening in style.

For travelers returning to Brussels, Paris, Düsseldorf, and Amsterdam, the shuttle will pick you up in the morning. The exact times will be communicated by your guide the day before.

After about a 20-minute drive, you'll arrive at Kittilä Airport for your return flight, with a backpack full of memories and a phone full of snowy photos.

And thus, a wonderful week ends in one of the most beautiful places in Europe (and the world).
