Snowmobile tour

Since the Sami (the oldest, independent, recognized people in Lapland) discovered this motorized vehicle, they let their reindeer roam free and traded their pulling power for strong horsepower. Nowadays, many of them use snowmobiles for their daily travels and a bit of adventure, but mainly to herd their reindeer.

After a clear explanation on how to safely operate the snowmobile, you’ll take off in pairs for a 20 to 30-kilometer ride through the stunning Lapland scenery. We'll stop halfway to switch drivers.

Northern Lights experience

To observe the Northern Lights as best as possible, your guide will take you to a carefully chosen spot. While we hope for a stunning display, it's still a natural phenomenon, and there's no guarantee that we'll actually get to see it.

During the evening, the guide will take photos of you and share tips and tricks for capturing beautiful night shots. With a bit of luck, you'll see the Northern Lights dancing in the sky. Either way, you'll have a special evening and return with wonderful memories.

Reindeer farm

Reindeer have been grazing for centuries across the vast pastures of Lapland. In the summer, they roam freely in the forests and fields. Once the snow covers all their food with a thick layer, they return to their farm where they are fed and taken care of.

During the winter months, except when they’re flying around the world on December 24th, they also take on their original role: transporting people through the snow. At the reindeer farm, we learn that a reindeer can carry three times its own weight, has special hooves to dig through the ice for food, and sheds its antlers in the winter (since they only need them to impress during the mating season in the summer).

After a 4-kilometer ride, we get to reward our reindeer with some food, see the rest of the herd, and enjoy a warm cup of berry juice while learning all about these amazing animals.

Ice floating

Although this activity may seem a bit funny at first glance, ice floating is primarily known as a very relaxing experience. Equipped with a special neoprene suit, you dive into an opening in the frozen lake, surrounded by a thick layer of ice.

After a bit of adjusting and laughing, you find yourself floating on your back and soon feel all your muscles relaxing. The laughter gives way to absolute silence and the beginning of a moment of meditation and connection with the nature around you. With a little luck, you might also admire the Northern Lights above you while floating.
